Tomato Growing 2013 - Varieties

For posterity, and as i plan next year, here are how I rank the varieties I grew this year.

Would definitely grow again:

  • Chateau Rose
  • Pink Ping Pong
  • Ropreco
  • Chocolate Cherry
  • Sara Goldstar
  • Beaute Blanche du Canada
  • Djena Lee’s Golden Girl
  • Arbuznyi
  • Porkchop

Not bad, may grow again:

  • White Currant
  • Mortgage Lifter
  • Big Rainbow
  • Opal Essence
  • Roman Candle

Then likely wouldn’t try again. For the small ones it wasn’t that they weren’t great, but you only need so many small ones, and the Chocolate Cherry and Sara Goldstars take the cake there.

  • Lemon Drop

  • Aladdin’s Lamp

  • Vintage Wine

  • I had high hopes for this guy, but he was just too delicate for my work ethic
