seedlings fail

So my seedlings were pretty much a bigtime fail this year.

I tried to plant many things, about 100 seedlings in all. I had less than a 50% germination rate, and out of all the ones that did come up, most of them died off pretty fast. Based on anecdotal conversations with those much more knowledgable than me, my failures are likely related to one of two things:

• Too much water after germination
• Too cold

At one point i had a heater going, but i don’t think it worked very well, and made me nervous.

Next year, i’ll invest in one of those warming blankets, and will not water nearly as much.

Fortunately a few things did come up, so hopefully i can see them through to the end. Also, i’m planting so much from seed at the farm that the seedlings were more of an experimentation anyways.
